Psychology Services

As a counselling psychologist I provide services to adults 18 years and older in:

If you would like to begin counselling services please complete the New Client Form and bring it to your first appointment.

Sessions are usually 50 minutes for individuals or 50 - 100 minutes for couples. Referrals from physicians are welcomed but are not required to begin counselling services - you can contact me directly. A free 15 minute phone consultation is available upon booking your first appointment. Continuity of sessions is important so you are encouraged to plan ahead in scheduling your appointments.

Please make every effort to remember your next appointment. I understand that unanticipated events occur at times and there are a variety of valid reasons for needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment such as illness, medical emergencies, or weather conditions, which are taken into consideration. Most appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes - this allows the remaining 10 minutes of the hour for completion of case notes. Last minute cancellations are difficult to fill and prevent someone else in need from scheduling into that time slot. A significant amount of time is reserved for each session. If you are uncertain when your next appointment is or need to cancel/reschedule you can phone and leave a message or email me. I will return your message as soon as possible.

Fees for counselling, report writing, letters, and completion of forms are set in accordance with the Recommended Fee Schedule published by the Psychologists Association of Alberta and are payable by e-Transfer, cash, or cheque at the time of the appointment. A receipt is provided at the end of each appointment for your records and reimbursement purposes. As a regulated health profession, often fees are covered in whole or in part through most extended health care plans or employee and family assistance plans - please check with your insurance provider or employer about possible coverage. Fees can also be claimed as a tax deduction for health services.

If this is an emergency and you are in crisis please contact the Mental Health helpline at 1-877-303-2642 or the Edmonton Crisis 24 Hour Line at 780-482-4357. For individuals outside the Edmonton region contact the Rural Distress Line at 1-800-232-7288.
