Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy

Please make every effort to remember your next appointment...

Most appointments are scheduled for 50 minutes - this allows the remaining 10 minutes of the hour for completion of case notes. Last minute cancellations are difficult to fill and prevent someone else in need from scheduling into that time slot. Because a significant amount of time is reserved for each session the following cancellation policy is in effect when booking an appointment:

  • A full 24 hours notice is required for the cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment. To do this you can simply phone, leave a message, or email me. If you are uncertain when your next appointment is please contact me.
  • Clients will be billed 50% of the cost of their appointment when less than 24 hours notice is provided for the cancellation or rescheduling of an appointment. Cancellation fees are payable at the next session and are often not reimbursed by employee or insurance plans.
  • A full session fee will be billed for "no shows" - clients who do not show up for their appointment and do not provide any notice.

I understand that unanticipated events occur at times and there are a variety of valid reasons for needing to cancel or reschedule an appointment such as illness, medical emergencies, or weather conditions, which are taken into consideration.

Thank you.
